Hi, Nina here. Victor said on Thursdays, we can give thanks. Well, I want to say how thankful I am for the amazing welcome I've received! So many wonderful cats from all over the world have stopped by to say hi! I never imagined feline world domination was so successful!
I'm also thankful that I'm still here, in the house with the nice people and Victor. There are lots of places where I can hide myself. That's what I like to do all day; stay completely out of sight. At night, the nice people and Victor are letting me sleep on the bed. Oh, I'm also thankful for getting to sleep on a real bed with real people!
I'm thankful that Victor seems to like me. I'm just not ready to play yet - I've spent half my life in a shelter and have a lot to adjust to. I'm thankful that he's letting me make friends at my own pace. He's kind of nosy, but that's ok.
I suppose I'm thankful that the nice woman brought me back here today, but I'm not thankful that she took me in the carrier (PTU?) to meet a vet. She was a nice lady vet and cuddled me and didn't do anything rude. She said I weigh 7.5 lb (~3.5 kg) and said I could be anywhere from 10 to 12 months old. I might grow some more! Do you think I'll ever be as big as Victor?
The vet says I'm not a "torbie" but a "brown tabby with orange". That's awfully long to put in the title of this blog. Do you have any ideas? I keep getting called Nina the Turtle or Nina the Mole for burrowing under things and now I'm Nina Hideacat for spending my days out of sight. I don't plan to stay out of sight forever, but it's all so new to me!
Purrs and sandpaper kisses,

PS I'm stunned almost speechless! Look what that nice cat
