Hi, Nina here. Victor said on Thursdays, we can give thanks. Well, I want to say how thankful I am for the amazing welcome I've received! So many wonderful cats from all over the world have stopped by to say hi! I never imagined feline world domination was so successful!
I'm also thankful that I'm still here, in the house with the nice people and Victor. There are lots of places where I can hide myself. That's what I like to do all day; stay completely out of sight. At night, the nice people and Victor are letting me sleep on the bed. Oh, I'm also thankful for getting to sleep on a real bed with real people!
I'm thankful that Victor seems to like me. I'm just not ready to play yet - I've spent half my life in a shelter and have a lot to adjust to. I'm thankful that he's letting me make friends at my own pace. He's kind of nosy, but that's ok.
I suppose I'm thankful that the nice woman brought me back here today, but I'm not thankful that she took me in the carrier (PTU?) to meet a vet. She was a nice lady vet and cuddled me and didn't do anything rude. She said I weigh 7.5 lb (~3.5 kg) and said I could be anywhere from 10 to 12 months old. I might grow some more! Do you think I'll ever be as big as Victor?
The vet says I'm not a "torbie" but a "brown tabby with orange". That's awfully long to put in the title of this blog. Do you have any ideas? I keep getting called Nina the Turtle or Nina the Mole for burrowing under things and now I'm Nina Hideacat for spending my days out of sight. I don't plan to stay out of sight forever, but it's all so new to me!
Purrs and sandpaper kisses,
Nina _insert name here_
PS I'm stunned almost speechless! Look what that nice cat Skeezix posted for me! ::purr purr purr purr purr purr::
I think you have a lot to be thankful for in your new home Nina! You are one lucky cat.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cheysuli and Gemini - you have a lot to be thankful for and especially that you have found a forever home.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my Mom who brought me home almost 13 years ago.

Nice to meet ya Nina! We decided to welcome you wif taggin' you wif a meme! Come see whut to do!
ReplyDeleteI hide a LOT less than I used to, afore we started using Feliway. Momma put a Feliway diffuser in the peoplesleeping room, and now I am out almost all the time that Mom is home, & go get Mommalovins every morning. Ask your nice peoples for some Feliway.
ReplyDeleteMy Momma used to call my bruzzer Chumley "Bonnie Underfoot" sometimes. He was deaf, so he couldn't hear when Mom was about to step on him. And he only had the one eye....
I'm not a blogger, but my Catster id is 337229.

ReplyDeleteNina Tabby to compliment Victor? Or Nina Housecat? Or in honor of Skeezix, Nina Gorjuss?
ReplyDeleteWe still like Nina the Torbie. But our real question if Mom Jen not Tabby Mom Jen now... can we call her Torbie Mom Jen?
ReplyDeleteYou have found a wonderful forever home and do have a lot to be thankful for:-) I still like Nina the Torbie the best ;-) What does that vet know :-p
ReplyDeleteYoo can call yoorself anything yoo want Nina, we liked dat Nina da Queena one tho. We knew Victor was a good mancat, he's being pashent like only a mancat can be.
ReplyDeleteTorbie, tabby, whatever! Call yourself what you want! Officially I am not ginger, but I still think of myself as a ginger. So you can be a torbie if you wants!
ReplyDeleteHow about "Caramel Nina"? Or "Nina Toffee"? I'm so glad you're there with Victor, tho'. He's a great brofur. And Skeez was awful nice to feature you on his blog.
ReplyDeleteYou look very happy Nina. I love Nina the Torbie, you should definately keep it.
ReplyDeleteOh, Nina ... Thank goodness you got 'dopted into Victor's fambly! Victor was seemin' pretty lonely for another stripy girlie. Concatulations!

Oh my cats! Hi Nina! Congratatulatins Victor, you have a very cute little sister!
ReplyDeleteMy brother and I haven't been able to visit much lately and were so excited to find that Victor has a new little sister! Victor and Nina how much fun you will have together! Don't worry, when Tommy came to our house I hissed and then when he wanted to play before I was ready I was the one who hid under my blankie.
Nina, we have a feeling that you and Victor are going to be very good friends soon. You're a very pretty girl and Victor is a very sweet guy. Perfect together!
