Some oldies brought together for today's theme. Victor will be visiting the vet for his follow-up in a little while. He's a bit subdued, so Nina has been outgoing and even groomed him (but I didn't let her "clean" his sore eye). It was nice to have them both sleeping on the bed last night.

*** Vet Update ***
Victor's eye looks better but he has a slight fever. She gave him another anti-inflammatory and sub-q fluids and wants to see him Monday morning. If his cornea is more visible then, she'll do the dye. He's eating and curious about our activities and came running when I opened a window. Fanks fur the purrs an purrayers!

Nina and Victor's togetherness is BEAUTIFUL. For those who haven't met Nina, she's been with us two weeks today. Note: Victor is 12 lb and Nina is 7.5 lb. He's sitting on the wi-fi router, exaggerating the size difference.

Moms says dis is the "Riverside & Great Northern Railroad #98, a 15-inch gauge live steam engine". It makes small CLOUDS of smoke. When a steamer makes lots of black smoke, it's not running efficiently. This puff of white is because it's starting to back down to the tourist passenger train it just ran around.

Anyone else fink the driver looks like Sandy Claws?

I like water fur drinkin, fank you furry much... but Mom tooked this pictor of the Thai Pavilion at Madison's Olbrich Gardens usin the reflectin pool. Pretty neat, huh? I fink I'd like to asplore the gardens but specially the con-serva-tory when they haf flutterbys flyin inside! I wonder if flutterbys taste like butter? Mmmmm.

Bonnie and Victor are almost as different as two cats can be, considering they're both DSH tabbies born in Wisconsin.
Bonnie: Female, dark, older, grumpy, diva, loud, bold, family-raised
Victor: Male, white, young, sweet, forgiving, quiet, shy, shelter-raised

We have a friend Bonnie loathes. He cat-sat for us once, and she scared him away by snarling at the door. He and his wife were over last weekend... and Bonnie LOVES his wife. The endless supply of Temptations might have helped, of course. Victor, on the other paw, likes our friend and was terrified of his wife. Ce les chats!
