Caturday - Photo Hunters: Wild

Hi, this is Nina. First, I need to say thank you furry much, Anonymous! The crinkle bed and Temptations are great! I'm a little worried by the noise of the bed, but I'll get used to that.

Secondly, we are purring and purraying for our furiends in Texas being bothered by Hurricane Ike. Besides the Sherwoods and Momma Grace & Company, we have Flickr friends GSXR ("Jickser") and Koga in a Houston compartment with their loving mom, AJ. She works in a hospital emergency room and was ordered not to evacuate!

We also received four awards yesterday! I'm simply astonished! Unless something else comes up, we'll properly thank everyone and pass awards along tomorrow. In the meantime, we teased you yesterday about a certain "toy" we enjoyed the other night... until the nice woman (Mom?) took it away. By the way, we'll make it fit this week's Photo Hunters theme, WILD!

Jug O' Cricket 3/4
Victor found it first, crawling around, and went WILD. Mom thought it was a roach, then put it in a jug for us.
Jug O' Cricket 2/4
I thought that was really fun! Victor, too. We pushed that jug around, trying to get the WILD toy out again.
Jug O' Cricket 4/4
Then we played with it together! We tried "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who would get to eat it! Um, it's a draw.
Jug O' Cricket 1/4
Here's our Jug O'Bug - Jiminy Cricket!

Unfortunately, Mom took the jug away and put our new toy back outside where it belongs. Darn! We were having such fun! She says WILD bugs should go back outside.

Purrs and licks!

  8. What a great toy your Mom made for you! Our Mom captures them in a glass and puts them outside. Maybe she'll put them in a little bottle and let us play with the next one.

  10. Hi Victor and Nina (special HI to Nina, since we haven't officially met!), I am going to all the blogs on our list to let you know that we are deleting "Les Trois Chats." Momma is too busy to let us blog anymore - she has had a hard time blogging for herself even. We are actually now Les Quatre Chats anyway as we added LOLA in June, who is a POOP and has put me to shame as the alpha cat around here... even though, yes, she's a GIRL. (I know, SO emasculating! I need a treat or twenty to comfort me...)

We so enjoyed our time with all of you. Au revoir, les amis,

    Moose

  14. That was very nice of your mom to put it in a jug so you could play with it. Those toys break way too easily when they're not in a jug.

  15. I haven't had crickets, I hear them outside though. Maybe a mousie will come to your house and play. They are fun too.

  17. Ooo, a Jug o' Bug! That is an awesome toy. Too bad your momma had to take the cricket back outside. My momma does things like that, too. If Coco doesn't eat them first, hahahaha!

  18. That's something new for sure. Most of those always ended up victims to the J Kitties. Maybe they did not read the warning sign on the door... "Enter at your risk... It's a death zone there!" LOL!

  19. Dang....that looks like it would be fun to pull the legs off of. But my people would put it outside, too. Something about "sadistic kitties" and "Buddah will eat it..."
