Hi, this is Nina. First, I need to say thank you furry much, Anonymous! The crinkle bed and Temptations are great! I'm a little worried by the noise of the bed, but I'll get used to that.
Secondly, we are purring and purraying for our furiends in Texas being bothered by Hurricane Ike. Besides the Sherwoods and Momma Grace & Company, we have Flickr friends GSXR ("Jickser") and Koga in a Houston compartment with their loving mom, AJ. She works in a hospital emergency room and was ordered not to evacuate!
We also received four awards yesterday! I'm simply astonished! Unless something else comes up, we'll properly thank everyone and pass awards along tomorrow. In the meantime, we teased you yesterday about a certain "toy" we enjoyed the other night... until the nice woman (Mom?) took it away. By the way, we'll make it fit this week's Photo Hunters theme, WILD!
Victor found it first, crawling around, and went WILD. Mom thought it was a roach, then put it in a jug for us.
I thought that was really fun! Victor, too. We pushed that jug around, trying to get the WILD toy out again.
Then we played with it together! We tried "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who would get to eat it! Um, it's a draw.
Here's our Jug O'Bug - Jiminy Cricket!
Unfortunately, Mom took the jug away and put our new toy back outside where it belongs. Darn! We were having such fun! She says WILD bugs should go back outside.
Purrs and licks! photohunt
I Love It! Great shots:)
ReplyDeleteToo bad. Crickets are crunchie!
ReplyDeleteYum....um....we mean WILD!
ReplyDeleteSniffie and the Florida Furkids
Great shots but perhaps for the best the bug went. I dout it would taste nice! Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteMommy is so scared of crickets, she had to look away.
ReplyDeleteWowie Victor and Nina, a jug 'o bug sounds like WILD fun.
ReplyDeleteThe cricket looks pretty WILD to us! To bad Mom took it outside and let it go!
ReplyDeleteYour FL furiends,
What a great toy your Mom made for you! Our Mom captures them in a glass and puts them outside. Maybe she'll put them in a little bottle and let us play with the next one.

Muuuuuummm! We want a Jug o Bug too.We haven't seen any crickets, but we get lots of grasshoppers here. Yummy, they are so good and crunchy.
ReplyDeleteHi Victor and Nina (special HI to Nina, since we haven't officially met!), I am going to all the blogs on our list to let you know that we are deleting "Les Trois Chats." Momma is too busy to let us blog anymore - she has had a hard time blogging for herself even. We are actually now Les Quatre Chats anyway as we added LOLA in June, who is a POOP and has put me to shame as the alpha cat around here... even though, yes, she's a GIRL. (I know, SO emasculating! I need a treat or twenty to comfort me...)
ReplyDeleteWe so enjoyed our time with all of you. Au revoir, les amis,
Moose
Bug in a Jug! What a fantastic toy!
ReplyDeleteThings that bounce always make the funnest toys!
ReplyDeleteOH Nina!! Your momma is such a good momma!!! She still let you play with it but in a way so it was safez for Mr Jimmeny!!
ReplyDeleteYou iz all very lucky.. in lots of countries crickets are very lucky, and your momma did not hurt it so...
We iz so very happy you iz all so nice to let it go free :)))
That was very nice of your mom to put it in a jug so you could play with it. Those toys break way too easily when they're not in a jug.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had crickets, I hear them outside though. Maybe a mousie will come to your house and play. They are fun too.
ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent wild! That looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteOoo, a Jug o' Bug! That is an awesome toy. Too bad your momma had to take the cricket back outside. My momma does things like that, too. If Coco doesn't eat them first, hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteYour buddy, Jimmy Joe
That's something new for sure. Most of those always ended up victims to the J Kitties. Maybe they did not read the warning sign on the door... "Enter at your risk... It's a death zone there!" LOL!
ReplyDeletehttp://crizcats.blogspot.com/
Dang....that looks like it would be fun to pull the legs off of. But my people would put it outside, too. Something about "sadistic kitties" and "Buddah will eat it..."
ReplyDeleteThat's always the same for you cats ! As soon as there is a nice toy some stupid human shows up and takes it away ! It's a shame !
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You were really having fun trying to get that cricket. Mommy is glad that the little guy is safe1
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that big old cricket is safe too but that you were able to play with him for a bit! Your Mom is very resourceful to think of putting him in a jar:) xxx
ReplyDeleteThat cricket looked pretty darn yummy, Victor an' Nina! I think that your momma shoulda let you eat him.
ReplyDeleteDMM
ooooh, we wanna pounce yur toy too! crickets look yummy!
ReplyDeleteCrickets are great toys. We are so glad you two are playing well together.
ReplyDeleteTiki, Tavi, Cody, Camie and Miss Jade
Ha ha!! There's no better toy than a BUG. =) They're especially tasty! That is, if the momma lets you eat them!
ReplyDeleteHahahahah~~
ReplyDeleteLooks you are having a great good time!
I just love bugs, including lizards, which SS says is not a bug.

ReplyDeleteOh I wish we had a cricket in the house! Now that's a bug I can get behind.
ReplyDelete--Jasper
I bet those things are really tasty! Too bad your Mom threw it out.
ReplyDeleteI hope Victor's eye is much improved today!
Nina, you have the cutest stripey feets!
ReplyDeleteWe love scouting for crickets in our garage everyday...mom or dad gets them away from us...then puts them outside.

Uh, Victor, you stopped by earlier. We have some news.
ReplyDeleteMOL! We aktally THOUGHT the Mom would let it go... Moms jus do that sort of thing. ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, Victor. Short break, then be right back. A VERY short break if we can finagle it.
ReplyDeletethank you for your purrayers, friends.

I caught a cricket once! But I was so busy showing it off to everyone it got away. :(
