Hi, this is Tabbymom Jen. I want to thank you all again for your wishes and comments about Bonnie. I'm overwhelmed by the response. We're sad, but doing ok. We have so many fond memories of Bonnie. Please remember her with smiles, not tears. Victor and I owe each and every one of you a visit... but it takes time and I have to stop when I start crying again. I'm also giving Victor lots of attention. But really, we're ok.
For the hugging holiday this weekend, I'd like to share a poem from my favorite story-teller, Shel Silverstein.
Hug O'War
I will not play at tug o' war.
I'd rather play at hug o' war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
- Sheldon Allan Silverstein
Please remember Bonnie with smiles and laughter. We heard thunder rolling in today, and I'm sure it was a game of Thundering Herd of Elephants at the Rainbow Bridge. When they crashed into the fountain, it started raining. And the lightning? Kitty laser eyes, of course! Memories are golden, and we will always cherish our memories of Bonnie.
Now, let's all cheer up and move on, or she'll find a way to whap us all!
We are thinking of you and Victor and remembering Bonnie. We are certain that she is playing THOE up at Rainbow Bridge!
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day!

She will be missed.

ReplyDeleteHugs to Victor and the family!
oh no.
ReplyDeleteWe can not believe this sad sad news. It's horrible when it happens so fast and unexpectedly. We know for sure.
All of you are in our hearts today, and for many days. No words will stop the grief and pain and loss, but it does help to know that you don't have to carry this alone.
Thanks for remembering Walter. May 18th was the one year anniv. of his sudden passing, and he was 10. It happened in just a few morning hours, just like Bonnie. They nearly died at the exact same time, too! We think you are right and that they ARE together! Walter raised Sadie, just like Bonnie raised Victor (sort of.)
Big furry love from ML and all of the Mosaic Furs.
Mum told us that we have the Boomies forecast for tonight. We have told her it will be Bonnie playing THoE so we will all be listening out for her.
ReplyDelete((((((hugs))))))to you furrom us.
All of you are so very brave. I admire your courage.

Time will ease the pain and we understand what you're going through, having lost 4 cats. Those who are not animal lovers look at you like you're crazy...after all, it was "only" a cat. No, not at all. She was a member of the family.
ReplyDeleteGive Victor extra attention since he's mourning, too.
What a super poem - a purrfect poem for the weekend of hugs! We know how hard it is for you now, but time will make it easier. Lots of hugs always helps too!
ReplyDeleteMommy loved thinking of thunder as kitties playing THoE over the bridge! Now thunder will always make her smile.
Purrs and Hugs,
Pearl, Bert and Jake
i whapped mommy during the night last night for no reason in honor of Bonnie. we certainly do smile when we think of her.
ReplyDeletewe like that idea of the Thundering Herd of Elephants at the Bridge. We think they are heading our way this afternoon!
PS we have all of Shel Silverstein but the giving tree cause it makes mommy want to smack that selfish little boy
ha! we certainly do NOT want to be whapped by Bonnie from the Bridge!!! we love that poem.
ReplyDeleteHey Victor buddy, come on over and join in our game of THOE - Fagin is here so we can gang up on the kittens. - Sammy
Victor and Mom,
ReplyDeleteNow everytime we hear the thundering we'll know it is Ms. Bonnie playing on the Bridge! It is good to know that while you are sad, you are still moving on. The threat of a Bonnie whap is fierce indeed.
Purrs and headbutts to you all. It is so hard to believe she is really gone.
~Tybalt, Holly, Ivy, Dana, Loki and Mommy
So you're saying now that Bonnie is there I don't have to be afraid of thunder storms? I'm not so sure because we had one this weekend and I did "flat cat" right behind the bathroom door.
ReplyDeleteChase
And HUGS to you all too!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to move on, but we must. When Karma left, I moved in. When Nikki left, Tenny moved in. Such is the circle of life.
I hope Bonnie is hangin out with my sisfurs in memory at the Bridge too.
We're smiling thinking about thundering herd of elephants. Thanks for the poem.
ReplyDelete--Jasper
Glad to hear you are holding up under the circumstances. All you can do is take a day at a time.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to think mancatly Gato has introduced himself to Bonnie and has offered his services at the Bridge... something like, "I've been here awhile, so anything you need to know, Bonnie, just call me."
I'm so sorry to hear about Bonnie. She was an amazing lady and one of my heros.
ReplyDeleteLove and purrs,
Mia and the fam
We still find it so hard to believe that she's gone. Victor yoo want we should come ofur and whap yoo so yoo won't miss her so much?
ReplyDeleteYes, we cherish our good memories of the loved ones who left us too early.... tears still keep sneaking in....
ReplyDeleteVictor - we were so glad to see your picture up at our reception blog! We are very much looking forward to see you at the wedding on board of Voyager! Thank you, dear friend! It means a lot to us.
I love the poem. {{{HUGS}}} to all of you. Now I will think of Bonnie leading a game of THoE at the Bridge every time I hear thunder.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that poem! :) I also heard thunder yesterday and saw no lightning or rain, so it's just gotta have been Bonnie! After all we all got to join in the game here as the run was open and it was nice and dry! :)
ReplyDeleteWe just found out about Bonnie going to the Bridge....we remember all the fun times we had with her. We are very sad coz we'll miss her....but we know she'll have lots of furriends to play with up there, including our big sis angel kitty Missy. *hugs*
ReplyDelete~Casey, Donny and Marie
We love that poem!! It is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a few THOE and Laser eyes this weekend, too! Bonnie is having fun and reminding us that it's time to move forward or she'll whap us! ((((((((((((((Hugs from all of us to all of you)))))))))))))))!
Your FL furiends,
Ans Chandra
That's wonderful that Bonnie was visiting you from the bridge. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry to hear about Bonnie. We didn't know her well, but it always hits home when one of us kitties moves on. Mom says that the kitties who came before me and Spot and Baby Jake will take good care of her on the other side.
ReplyDeleteWe just saw your comments....we are soooo sorry to hear about Bonnie. Leo and Bonnie are jumping around on the Rainbow Bridge together for sure. Having gone through the same thing very recently, we know how hard it is. Many purrs and our condolences....
