BIG Cat News

This poor cat weighs nearly 50 pounds. Fat Eric, you've got some catching up to do!

Quick story: When we first got Victor, we shut him in a bedroom with a portable radio playing. One morning, I heard this awful noise from the other end of the house, like someone parked with their radio blasting... but it was a little between stations and I recognized the DJ from the CLASSICAL station! So I ran downstairs, and our little RCA Victor had accidentally turned the volume to 11 and bumped the station selector just slightly off. He was hiding under a table, as far from the radio as he could get. Poor baby! Or was it on purpose, to get me to come play?

Bonnie & Victor won't be blogging this weekend. We beans are going to Rockford, Illinois to play with our toy trains at a show. But we're leaving lots of good food out and one of the sinks will be dripping. We'll also leave a light on and the radio on for some company. We'll only be gone 1 night and there's a neighbor with a key, so if we were really, really delayed, we'd call her.

  2. Oh man, that poor kitty. I love my Stinky Goodness, but that's abuse... :(

  3. In the summer our humans go away almost every weekend. They just leave us some food and fill up the water and turn off our fountain (so it won't run dry). Nobody needs to check on us unless they are gone more than 3 days. It's not so bad, they takes the dogs with them, and that is good.

  4. Poor (RCA) Victor. Kitty hearing is so sensitive, and he made the noise louder. You don't think he was looking for music to nap by, do you?

  5. I think I would feel skinny if I was standing next to that great big kitty. I wouldn't like to be that big, maybe I should stick to my diet. My dad is jealous that you are going to a model train show, he likes those!

  6. Max is right, that's abuse! We love our food too but no kitty needs 30 pounds of food a week until it is some of the big kitties that Mom saw in Aff-ree-ka.

  7. Why is those people feeding their cat to death? Our beens hasn't all gone away at once yet so we hasn't had to be alone. Victor is such a cute little sensitive kitty.

  8. Mom couldn't handle the picture of the big kitty. She wants to choke those people, steal the cat and put it on a diet. That is cruel. I'm glad your mom and dad are only going to be gone one night. The should have left you more water than dripping faucets.

  9. Hi, efurrybudy! Efurryone's home safe an sound, covered wif new smells. Beau, Mom filled our fountain and left it on; the dripping faucet was extra cuz she knows we both likes running water bestest. Bonnie was more worried than me, but we boths were happy to see our beans back. I made Mom throw my fetching ball lots. Bonnie thot she was starving, but I knew we was ok. Derby, Dad tooked his laptop so we couldn't arrange a party wif you.

  10. My mom is going away this coming weekend and Brach and I can't wait! We are going to PAR-TAY!

(In this case, "PAR-TAY" means "nap, eat, poop, play and nap some more)

  11. Hey Victor, once when I was new and my mom had gone off to hunt, I turned on the radio by mistake trying to get to the paper towels! For some reason or other, Mom came back within a minute (she said she forgot something). Boy was she surprised with the racket and the mess! I was a little surprised too with the radio just coming on like that, but I really wanted those paper towels.
