It wasn't easy, but we chose anofur Best Friends kitty to sponsor. Meet Wallace, a saber toothed tiger in tabby furs.Dear Friend of Omaha,
We're very sorry to let you know that Omaha has passed away. Though she was only five years old, she'd become very ill from her feline leukemia. Her body was no longer able to support her, and she passed gently over the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by great love.
We're so sad to lose her. As her sponsor, you know Omaha preferred to live life her way. She was born feral, and enjoyed to company of other cats over people. Here at Best Friends, she could live the way she wanted without the dangers of being out on the streets. With plenty of room in the rafters to hang out up high, Omaha was content to snuggle in comfy beds and keep an eye on the activities below. She will be sorely missed by all, and we wish we'd had more time with her. One never knows how long a cat with feline leukemia will live, but here at Best Friends with the support of people like you, we make sure they live the best, fullest life possible.
He's Best Friends' version of a saber-toothed tiger! He has long fangs and piercing green eyes, and he never lets anyone near him. Hissing is his way of saying "Hi." But this dark tabby is loved by all who take care of him ... just from a respectful distance. He's a cat who wants to be taken seriously.
Wallace was a feral cat who lived in a Boeing plant in San Diego. One day, the plant was demolished and all the wild cats had to find a new place to go. Wallace came to Best Friends, where his preference for living among his own kind is greatly respected and life is made as comfortable for him as possible.
We are amazed at the good things Best Friends does for so many animals, big and small.
