A Weather Poem from Mom

Snow.
Snow.
Shower... no power?!
Snow.
Wet hair.
Snow.
Snow.
No garage door opener... no light... no way to see or reach control.
Snow.
Snow.
Co-worker will chauffeur, but doesn't know right from left. (PhD)
Snow.
Snow.
There's the MG&E truck.
There's a city snow/salt truck.
Snow.
"Stop! You're here. I see you."
"That's your house? That's not how I remember it at all."
Snow.
Snow.
Work: power, light, heat, Internet, coffee, and plug for my hair dryer.

So, how's the weather there?

Victor: Bonnie, what happened?
Bonnie: You woke me up.
Victor: No, I mean, why's the howse so quiet?
Bonnie: It happens sometimes. Dark, too. Go to sleep.
Victor: But Bonnie, I's thirsty.
Bonnie: So?
Victor: I's thirsty, but the fountain is off.
Bonnie: WHAT?!?!?! This is an emergency! Race around like an idiot while I stare down the fountain.
Victor: Will that help? We can still drink the water.
Bonnie: Have you got any better ideas? I know! I'll sleep in the sink until someone turns the water on.
Victor: Nobody's home but us.
Bonnie: We're doomed!

  1. I like your poem! But I am a little worried about you all. Will you get too cold without any power and all that snow?

  13. Oh my, I hopes your power came back on soon. Not good when the fountain and the heaty things can't run.

  14. Gosh, you have a drinking fountain. Does that mean you have continous running water? That's really neat. Really liked your poem, but that dark cold house sounds a little scary.

  20. Yikes! Have things improved now? We sure hope so.

If anyone jumps on the top of the tunnel bed, it would squash into regular bed shape. It's very flexible. It's nice like that, but we really prefer the tunnel shape. It's fun, plus warm, plus cozy.
