...to bring you an important announcement.
Dateline: January 21, 2007 - Boy's Room, Madison, Whiskonsin
Reported by: Charcoalie
This just in... Bonnie Underfoot and Victor Tabbycat, whose animosity is well known in the blogging community, appear together in remarkable candid photos taken by the Boy and the Mom. Exhibit 1 shows the two tabbies sharing the Boy's bed. This, in itself, is a rare occurrence.
Exhibit 1: Jan 16, 2007
Sharing the Bed
Bonnie claimed this photo was a fake. Experts could neither confirm nor deny this claim.
However, just today, Bonnie and Victor were found together again. This time, there is no denying that they were within 6 inches of each other! Yes, you heard it here first, Bonnie and Victor were SLEEPING TOGETHER!
Exhibit 2: Jan 21, 2007
Sleeping Together
In a statement released by representatives of Bonnie Underfoot, "Bonnie claims she was merely tolerating Victor Tabbycat until she could make a dignified retreat". Victor Tabbycat could not be reached for comment.
This last photo provides undeniable evidence: Bonnie Underfoot and Victor Tabbycat, curled close together on the Boy's bed, and TOUCHING. This is not Bonnie whapping Victor or Victor pouncing Bonnie. This is full tail contact while curled peaceful nearby. Yes, they were CAUGHT TOGETHER IN BED.
Exhibit 3: Jan 21, 2007
Caught Together in Bed
You saw it here first, furiends. Is Bonnie actually warming up to Victor, or is it merely a case of "two cats are warmer than one"? Stay tuned for further updates.
We now return to our regular blogcast.
Furiendly Furiday!
What're YOU Lookin At?

Wow this is progress or did you just need to stay warm?
ReplyDeleteGood thing I was sitting down. I don't believe it.
ReplyDeleteBut Derby's comment was my second thought, once I caught my breath -- maybe it is merely a survival technique, shared body heat????
Only time will tell.
Same here, ML! Wow...
ReplyDeleteI have to say, Victor looked rather pleased with himself. It snowed Sunday and by Monday morning, Bonnie was her nastiest hissiest self toward the Mom. I believe except for the tail touch, they maintained a respectable distance.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha. That is great. It looks like Bonnie is warming up to Victor.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! We's all share the bed....if'n Momma's in it! Sumtimes two of us will be on the bed at the same time. Y'all can come bisit here, where it's warmer than it is there.

Purrs and nuzzles to my sweetest Victor~Emmy
Oh oh! Busted! :D
ReplyDeleteTail touching at that! It's a remarkable occurrence. : )
ReplyDeleteHey, Bonnie may be mellowing but I bet it wuz just a'cuz it's cold outside.
ReplyDeleteAhh, you two really do like each other!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed, I must say, but pleased. This may be the start of something almost ... affectionate!
ReplyDeleteHey, during winter, sometimes ya gotta do what you don't wanna do to stay warm...right?
ReplyDeleteThat was major tale kontakt!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are great photos! :) Hopefully you two are becoming friendly towards each other and not merely tolerating each other for the warmth!
ReplyDeleteI bet Bonnie wuz too cumftabul to move when Victor snuck up on her so she pretended he wuzn't thare. And Victor wuz watching Bonnie in case he had to run if she decided to whap him!
ReplyDeleteOMC! I am very amazed and surprised.I am also very happy for you.
ReplyDeleteBonnie & Victor
ReplyDeleteIs there a truce?
Abby (never will there be a truce...I will always be the alpha!)
Bonnie looks annoyed acoz she was caught. Victor has a secretly sly look in his eye coz he knows the trufh.
ReplyDeleteHey beautiful Bonnie! Purr.... I'm quite amazed by this photographic evidence! Of course, I know you like to snuggle with certain other tabbies...namely me. Of course, I too have to snuggle with the frootbat sometimes....ick.
ReplyDeleteChase
Photoshop, that's what it is, Photoshop. You expect me to believe that they are starting to tolerate each other? :-)
ReplyDeleteSame thing happens at our house. The Good Cats never sleep snuggled together. Even if they are more or less in the same place, like a bed, they always leave a respectful distance between themselves.
Uh oh. U dun been foundeded owt. No more sekrets.
ReplyDeleteLuf, Us
This is great progress!
ReplyDeleteSnuggling for warmth can hopefully be a bridge to new relationships!
Wow, I am stunned! Perhaps the cold is just an excuse to "test the waters" of friendliness....
ReplyDeleteLook at that tail contact!
Hmm... it's tough to decide when to smack and when to just nap. I hate it when humans attribute something more to just playing lazy...
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...can we really believe it? Or is it good Photoshop techniques? WeE hopes it is all true - We will have to check back for more verification!
ReplyDeleteShocking! Hee hee. It happens to the best of us.
ReplyDeleteIrritating little brother are sometimes useful, like for staying warm.
ReplyDeleteNo offense dear, but is it possible you're getting more tolerant in your advancing age?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Tipper
::gasp:: FULL TAIL CONTACT! We see it, we really do. Victor - you look purrty smug, an Bonnie...well, you look annoyed about the photographic evidence. We're very happy to see this amazing progress. Your people will probably be following you around with cameras now.
ReplyDeleteThere's something going on here too. A couple days ago the Blonde Girl got home from school and saw us all laying on the bed together, and Cocoa and Grr were leaning against each other! She went to grab her camera but by the time she got back, Grr had moved over to the other side of the bed.
Midnight
This is amazing! My humans, who are not conditioned to such catolerance, have asked me to pass on their following message: "Please, please, tell us your secret (drugs, perhaps?) so these ArtsyCats will stop whacking each other!"
ReplyDeleteCallie (Champion CatWhacker)
ArtsyCatsy
LOL :) maybe love is in the air, heart's day is coming up.
ReplyDeletelol...the proof is in the photos. So cute :)
ReplyDelete*gasp* I can hardly believe my eyes!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can say is that it must have been a FURRY COLD day and Bonnie was desperate for warmth...any warmth...
Fat Eric
wow thats good new it took mama Laura six years to get a picuter of mu shue and Lilly on the same couch touching. The only other piucters of them toghter are when she was a 10 mouth old kitten and mu shue was giveing her the what for and posed picuters
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is, it was snowing that day. And it's getting colder and snowing again...
ReplyDeleteHowever, there's still as much pouncing and chasing followed by hissing and growling as before. Not to mention when Bonnie & Victor face each other and Victor mews while Bonnie growls. He gets louder and louder in case she can't hear him! LOL
I do think since you are in Wisconsin and it is cold, I think the need to stay warm was uppermost. We shall see when it warms up. Good pictures. Ha, can't deny that they weren't near each other. Boy's bed also must be comfortable, another factor. Or maybe just by chance they are learning to warm up to each other. As ML said time will tell.
ReplyDeleteI do so wish Patches would snuggle with me, but when I try she bops me on the head. I wonder why, as Momma says I am so cute, who wouldn't love me?
ReplyDeletePrecious (aka Squirty Squirt Squirt)
And they said it could nevver happen...
ReplyDeleteLOKi
I promiss, berry berry soon, you two will be snugglin together and givin each other baffs n everything like me n angel. We's been furriends for over free years now acause that's how old I am, but I'll be fore in May
ReplyDeletetaz
Hh how cute! Sebastian and Yaffa loves to hang out on beds too. And loves to snuggle together when they think we're not looking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting our blog, You are so lucky to have a Trader Joes open in Madison. We want one in Brooklyn, but we trek over to Manhattan to get our TJ fix. That place rocks!!
