Sinking

Thirsty CatBonnie was our original sink cat. She waits in the sink in the morning so I can turn it on and she can drink fresh, running water. We have a whole routine around this. She doesn't like the hairdryer or toothpaste, so when I start to use those, she leaves. With great dignity, of course.

Victor Drinking from SinkVictor arrived and immediately discovered that investigating the sink makes fresh water appear. Maybe he already knew about it. Anyway, I saw Bonnie watch him drinking from the sink with something almost like respect. "He can't be all bad if he knows where to get the best water." Victor couldn't care less about the hairdryer or toothpaste, as long as he can drink the water.

  3. Magoo loves to drink from the sink. Actually he won't drink from anywhere else. He has in fact taught all the other cats to drink from the sink as well. We were worried that Dolce wasn't drinking from her waterbowl as a kitten, then we saw her one night sitting across the sink from Magoo. She was watching him so intently, that once he left she started checking out the water on her own. Now she drinks from the sink like the others.

  5. I prefer to get Mom to serve me my fresh water in a cup. Sinks are cool too tho. Mom just said "A sinks is just a big cup, Boni." Mom's kinda weird, but I love her.

  7. Yeah, I like drinking from the sinky faucent too. The bottom of the sinks, in the tub/shower etc.

But mum is very good about keeping the water bowls filled and fresh.

  8. I used to sleep in the sink but I don't do it any more. None of us like the sink when the water is going, so we have never drunk water that way.

  9. I used the sink so much, my woman finally bought a pet fountain for the kitchen. MUCH better than a bowl. I like to drink by dipping my paw in, so I've been known to spill a few cups and glasses and vases and... well, humans should know better.

  10. I love dripping water and the fountain and water in bowls. After Mom gets wet, I chase water dripping from the glass door onto a towel. As I pounce, I wrinkle the towel and it's more fun. Ever tried chasing water going down the hole in the floor? It's hard to catch.
